Selling my 1996 vw passat saloon, 1.8 petrol (non turbo). The car is offered as spares or repairs, due to an overheating issue. I have fitted a new water pump and thermostat, but these didnt cure the problem, so I suspect the headgasket may be at fault. The car has around 129 thousand on the clock, and is MOT'd until the end of March 2012, although the tax expires at the end of this month. The car is in fair condition for its age, if you know these cars you will know how well built they are. The interior is good, and the bodywork is fair, apart from the scrapes to both rear wheel arches as shown in the pictures.All the tyres are good, some have very few miles on.The missing piece of trim from the back door is in the boot. I am starting the auction at £150 as this is what Ive been offered by the scrap man. I could break the car for parts and make a lot more, but do not have the time or space.Obviously you will need to tow/trailer the car away. Any questions please ask.
