I've bought an E34 535 manual in Aprilia green with well over 300,000 miles on it. Not sure exactly as the digital odometer stops at 300k, but according to previous MOTs it's been on 300k since 2006, it was owned by a Shell oils rep for the the first 18 years of it's life. For the past 3 years it's been owned by a good friend of mine Dave, so I felt quite happy buying it. It honestly drives superbly and about 6 months ago it made 218bhp and 245ft/lb on Alan Jefferies rolling road. I've know the car for the whole time he's owned it, in fact while I worked at Halfords I supplied the green paint for it! So far I've removed the livery, Dave was sponsored by the local breakers yard (free part worns and tyre fitting). Problem is everyone knows the cars as "Dave's car" so I want to give it a bit of a make over, I was thinking about some kind of digital camo using the green as a base? Anyone got any samples or ideas about how I should go about it? What colours should I use? What do you reckon? Sorry I'm brain dead lol!

Instantly thought of the urban camouflage that I thought was called Belfast Camo. Instead of flowy wavy lines its all angular shapes (squares & rectangles) overlapping
My google-fu is weak, as this is the best pic of similar I can find:
The one I had in mind uses blacks, greys & whites though, just fail at finding it.
Edit
Its called Berlin Camouflage!

Big bold areas of colour seem to be the better cleaner look.

this is the most pixely digi-camo sample I could find I'm sure someone with more know-how than me can change the colours... Plus point of digi camo is that you can get it in a tin, so just roller it on to get the effect

Oh, so it was you what outbidded me There seems to have been two or three lime green 535s kicking about on the drift scene in the last year or two, it's an odd colour for such a big barge. I would start by getting a cheap m-tech front bumper and painting that the same hue.

Oh, so it was you what outbidded me The guy who won the auction, didn't end up buying it. So knowing that I was interested Dave offered it to me, plus he let me pay him in installments

Hmmm, does this mean that your turbo kit is gonna need a 6 cylinder manifold now? I've got love for the white, grey and black urban camo myself.

Hmmm, does this mean that your turbo kit is gonna need a 6 cylinder manifold now? At the moment the power and torque are enough to scare me, it'll spin the wheels in 3rd like my Omega span them in 2nd ;D Plus I'm not sure that the tiny turbo I had would be suitable for a 3.5 lol, most M30 turbos seem to run massive turbos! Plus I'm trying to talk Ryan into having it, at least he's less of a pipe dreamer than me and I'll sure he'll actually fit it.
