£1700 ono
Price drop as the car needs to be sold soon - the new one arrives in next few days!
For Sale is my 1999 (T reg) Saab 9-3SE, Turbo, Convertible.
It is black, with tan leather interior and 17" Saab alloy wheels (2 very good tyres, 1 good tyre and 1 tyre will need replaced in the next 4/5 months).
The paint work is good and polishes up really well.
The roof works excellently (both going up and down!) and was recovered approx 4 years ago by the previous owner.
The leather interior is in very good condition - no rips or tears, although there is the usual sign of wear on the drivers seat.
Mechanically, the car is very good, and was recently serviced (26.8.11) with new engine oil, gear box oil, oil filter, the K&N air filter cleaned and new anti-freeze/coolant - the spark plugs were OK so were not changed.
I also have a good service history with the car.
There are a couple of small areas of rust on the car - the boot edge and rear window edge bit (sorry, don't know what they're called but have added a picture), but both of these are easily fixed in a body shop in an hour or so.
The only other blemish on the exterior of the car, is the front bumper which is cracked on the drivers side - the previous owner clipped a bollard!
This is purely cosmetic, and I never saw the need to fix or replace it, but again, this isn't a big or complicated fix - should you want to!
The car is surprisingly spacious for a convertible - I have both my young children in the back, in their big car seats! And with the roof up, the boot is also virtually the same size as in a hatchback!
It also has a 10disc CD changer in the boot, with a CD head unit in front.
The reason I'm selling, is despite it being a spacious and actually very practical car, I need an estate - add a dog and the children's friends in my equation!
Also, as I'm doing high milage again due to work, I also need a diesel that can average over 50mpg.
The car will average the mid to high 30's mpg and when driven with consideration, I've had over 45 on a run!
Am putting it up for £1700 ono, to take into account the cosmetic blemishes, but there are other cars, of a similar age, spec and overall condition that are going for well over £2000!
Milage: 120000
MOT: 9.5.12
TAX: 31.10.11
The car drives well, is cheap to insure and looks great with the roof up or down.
The car is based in Newport-on-Tay, Fife, DD6.
