Perfect xmas present - 30 days notice on garages

Well the day i had been dreading has come, as the letting agency has given us a month to move out of the remaining 3 garages we rent (already taken one)

It looks like a few others have had the same, so either the guy is selling up, or maybe its the next of kin, either way the camper, red panda, volvo 340, puch maxi, various wheels, and many many panda/camper spares are now looking for somewhere else to go.

So a nice xmas present for all the garage holders in the lane then.

you'd think they'd have some sort of compassion being christmas and all, must be a relative of ebenezer scrooge.

seriously sucks though, not a nice thing to find out you've lost your storage but the time of year just makes it worse

Sadly the garages are worth a pretty penny now, as the large Victorian townhouses behind them are now selling for £350,000+ and only have on street parking, so the garages are very sought after.

Probably can move the cars into storage, but the masses of parts are the problem

This is what makes me sick about this country, all self self self, would 1 month extra really make a difference.

I could understand this if they'd left it until March because then the month would tie in with the tax year.

If you're really pushed for quick storage and I'm not too far away (though I might be) I can offer a bit of storage space in my garage. I can't store a whole car, but I could probably squeeze a couple of stacks of wheels or body panels or boxes of bits for you for a few months.

Thanks for the offer, but i am in Newcastle, so a bit far. Will just have to sell off as many parts as i can, and if i cant get storage for the vehicles, i will have to sell them off too.

One garage 3 times the size of what you already have should be cheaper than the 3 than you already have?
