Hi all, Happy New Year! The Nürburgring retro run is an amazing chance to take your classic or retro car on a run to the legendary Nürburgring for a week with fellow retro and classic car owners. The run starts on 5th September we travel to Dover in convoy and get the ferry to Dunkirk, and then drive down in several small convoys to our campsite next to the Nürburgring where we stay for the week and split our time between spectating and lapping, visiting the local area and drinks and campfire stories. At the end of the week we then convoy back to Dunkirk for our ferry home after an amazing week. For more information check out the dedicated forum www.retrorun.co.ukMike |

Just thought I'd add to this. We're going to be setting dates for this event in the next few days, it looks like it will be in the start of September. It started off as a Mini only event, but we've now added the "retro" theme and have had some great retro motors come along over the last few years. The first Retro Run was in 2008, which I attended in my Scirocco GTII, since then we've had old RX7s, Bay Window Campers, old Polos, Sciroccos, Golfs (MKI and MKII), E30s, E28s, a great group of MKI Astras, MKI Cavalier saloons, hatches.... basically, all sorts. We'd love a bunch of English Retro motors along in 2012. I'm thinking Cortinas, Escorts, Scimitars, maybe some old TVRs?? To have some Retro Rides users along with us would be great!
I need to get more info on the forum really, need to sort out piccies and videos of previous runs. But please feel free to join the forum and have a look around and say hi.

Need to put a proper post in here really with more details. But just thought I'd update you that we now have around 10 cars signed up already. So far we've got about 6 minis, a couple of 205s, a Nova saloon, a MKII Polo...... Looking like it'll be another good year. Would love to top 2009 when we had 65 cars on board!  |
