Hey all,
I need the following bits for the Sapporo:
Centre propshaft rubber N/S steering idler arm Rear drivers side lower suspension rubber Air filter
Can you recommend a good place to get them?
Oh and lowered suspension - can I fit suspension straight from something else or will it have to be specific lowered springs?

Hey all, I need the following bits for the Sapporo: Centre propshaft rubber N/S steering idler arm Rear drivers side lower suspension rubber Air filter Can you recommend a good place to get them? Oh and lowered suspension - can I fit suspension straight from something else or will it have to be specific lowered springs? Ta Sounds like your'e fixing my car there....... centre prop rubber is worn on mine as well but as yet I havent done anything about it (seems to run fine with no real vibrations to speak of) ,I thought about phoning one of the propshaft reconditioners that advertise in the back of the mags but then as I'm thinking about changing the engine I might end up modifying/shortening the prop when that happens so haven't really looked into it yet. Steering idler arms I bought from the states (same parts on left hand drive plymouth sapporos) but after only a weeks use the passenger bush had worn out completely/turned to dust, cheap curse word rubbish!!!! but try one of your local motor factors as my local Jayar managed to track down most of the other steering parts for me after a few visits, one of the books they use does list the Sapporo but they missed it twice as it's such a small entry so be determined. Same goes with the rubbers on the rear but things like this can really be a complete to get hold of, I suggest making friends with your local mitsubishi dealer and being patient, prices can be a bit scary sometimes and stock is very limited if it's a part that isn't used on another vehicle, other than that it's a case of measuring everything and finding someone who will take the time to match it up with another vehicle (not very easy these days). Did you want a standard air filter or performace? if it's a performance air filter you want you may have to get the measuring stick out again, I did look for one myself but didn't find one listed anywhere. K&N have a load of universal ones for twin carb set ups or perhaps you fancy a small one for each carb? try the website : www.knfilters.com/universal/universal.htmAs for suspension I'm running -60mm eibach front springs from a fiesta on the front and they fit really well if a little hard compared to the rear which is using -60 mk2 golf front springs (these arn't exactly the same shape at the ends as the originals but they fit pretty good and I havent had any problems with them. If you want to sort the suspension properly then give Leda a ring as they'll make one off kits to your spec by modifying the existing front struts which have combined hubs and making springs how you want them, obviously this won't be the cheepest option but you only need to buy it once right?
