this car is proper awesome. I have only that to add
Q: How does it ride with the coils cut? Still luxo? I'm feeling low luxo envy and thinking what will eventually replace the Yaris (no really)

You have a Yaris?! zomg.. It rides very well, not crashy or bouncy - for a guy who's used to zero ground clearance coilovered cars it feels like a Rolls. The mods I've done have definitely had an effect tho, but I felt it more in the tyres than the springs I think.. The auto-leveling / stiffening / whatever it is lets you get away with more & still feel luxo

Got wings... (cont..)Bit of a late one last night High-build taken back with increasingly fine wet&dry.. ..then wiped down & dried (on the sofa - lol) SMOOTH! (took absolutely ages, again. And I got soaked, again.) Then paint.. I had this mixed from the code by a place online that came highly recommended - a test panel I did on some scrap earlier seemed to match well, and their cans spray really nicely. You can adjust which way it fans! Lots of thin coats is the way (so I'm told) The lights in the Bahn have made it look a bit weird - hopefully I haven't fekked it up Wait 45mins, then bury it in lacquer.. Shiny! I should point out that other than wheels & the odd touch-up I've never really painted anything other than satin finishes before, so this is all a learning experience (& something I want to be able to do proficiently) - happy with it so far, but we'll see. Next up (tonight) polish the bejeebus out of the wings, and tint the rear lights (hopefully, if I have time)..

This thread is providing me with some serious inspiration! I've just got myself an e39 that needs a good clean up, cant wait to get stuck in now. I had an e32 735 a couple of years back, that was a fantastic car but sadly had to go. I'm suprised I havent seen you driving about in Brighton, i'll have to keep an eye out now!

I love this, got a decent Eastern European drug dealer look to it. Excellent - thanks dude That's pretty much been the plan all along ;D Last night's installment of 'operation got wings..' Had another go at red tinting my lights first - before: During: After: (didn't get a pic of them on the car cos it was completely dark by the time I left) Better. Will probably still Lamin-X them if I get the time. WINGS! I G3'd them for a few hours.. And then gave them a very quick polish to restore the shine.. One polished, one not Tonight = fitting!

You'll find time for extra Lamin-X I have no doubt!

Ha! I need to shop & pack for RRG yet.. If I don't I'll leave it in the car anyway, in case I'm sober enough Fri / Sat for some field-based modifications..
