Hoping to camp (questions)

basically hoping to score some tickets off here to camp with the rest you you nutters on the saturday night with a frind, however due to other commitments can only make it up saturday, is this ok? will there still be space for us?

also does the camping price include the show day price?

You'll still be earlier than I normally am........... (I will be late for my own funeral)

space isn't normally an issue as overall capacity is fixed by the field size

After today's deluge I'd suggest that anyone who's not sure of their car's capabilities in the muddy/wet stuff camps at the top of the field behind the hedge rather than down at the bottom by the stream. That includes myself, as 1.5 tonnes of mongomatic RWD Merc and muddy fields do not mix.....

Having said that I know of at least two guys who will be in pukka 4WD machinery and will be only too pleased to demonstrate their abilities if needed. But use your judgment, it'd be nice to leave the camping field as we found it, like we all did last year.

The field is a predominantly clay soil which means it drains and dries extremely quick!
Seriously, after all the rain we've had, and the amount its been used, its holding up extremely well.

With a good forecast on Sunday, even if it showers Fri and Sat, people should still be OK to get off-site.

Might be wise to be precautionary and follow Mr Damages advice though ... just to be safe like ;D

I'll take a 60% chance of rain over a 100% chance of rain,.. also the track will run regardless and sunshine is also forecast... file under changable, bring an umbrella, jobs a goodun. It is going to be great.

The forecast varies depending on where you look. The met are all over the place at the moment, its changed every 3-6 hours over the past 48 hours. Other places say its gonna be dry.

Showers are coming in from the West and there seems to be some debate about how far it will spread. The Cheltenham area must be right on the edge of it.

I drive past Prescott most days and i have to say that the camping field has recovered remarkably well considering the state of it from the veteran and vintage meet a couple of weeks ago, many of them had to be towed out by tractor ;D

As an update let's hope the forcast remains as it is now- ie dry & a bit cloudy for sat &sunday! Yess that's the way low pressure, curse word off up to Scotland!

I'm arriving saturday midday... I'm guessing we all have allocated space as such, so that the last few in wont arrive to find no space free.
also... my car is pretty low, will i have trouble getting into campsite

No allocated spaces - the whole field is big enough to handle the limited numbers camping (kinda why the numbers are limited
