Bought this recently as a daily, but not really bonding with it. It's ok, just not as into it as the E30 I had. Thinking of going back to the 3 series and looking to get ball parks on what this is worth.
It's a 1988 520i Lux auto in Royal Blue. It's done 160,400, with service history up to 148,000, supplying main dealer up to 141,000. Last cambelt was at 141k.
Drives nicely, fitted with later turbine alloys which work. Good tyres on all of them. Spare tyre has plenty of tread, but has perished on the wall. Hasn't been lowered.
Interior is in fantastic condition for age. Body is ok, has a few car park dings, but nothing major. Has crust on each of the arches (nothing terrible, but all would benefit from attention). The worst bits are bubbling on the front wings (although previous owner said this hadn't changed in the past two years). Exhaust is blowing.
Electric front windows, keep fit rear. Manual sunroof.
Only has a short MOT (20th Sept) and taxed until the end of Sept. Can't see it will need much other exhaust sorting and maybe (maybe) a small patch on the passenger sill near the jacking point.
