Started off Saturday night with this stuck on my mates car

That's not quite the way to do it - is it? Apparently it's because his rear wall is like the leaning tower of Piza and I am guessing he has not got household insurance .....
Sunday morning discover HUGE wasps nest in loft. After about two cans of wasp/ant powder and not much difference later I forgot about the residue and totally covered my car in dead wasps and white powder.
Took car to the car wash and then this happened

Free car wash, but the damn thing did try and push my car back with the dryer! No damage though - No more wasps or powder.
Take car for a nice sunday drive in glorious weather - suddenly huge amount of smoke from under the bonnet and flowing into car ....
After much headscratching and thinking I had cracked the turbo I discovered the oil feed had a microscopic split somehow - Tiniest gap possible had emptied 3 litres of oil in about 10 mins.....
I am in the middle of nowhere and knock on the door of the nearest house. Tell the man of my predicament and I spot a washing machine hose on top of his litter bin .... He lets me have the hose and I fabricate the best bodge I have done in ages .... Thankfully there was a hacksaw and hoseclips in my boot ...

Sending a box of chocs to the man tomorrow - It was very good of him to help me out and my oil feed washing machine hose 'repair' got me home beautifully and didn't melt as I thought it would.
Just made me realise that being able to fix little things like that and get myself out of trouble is a huge part of owning a classic to me. All my other saabs have been 100% reliable, but this one has been far from that - but that's why I enjoy this one. It's a Pita. (Pain in the
) car which seems to have so much attitude at times ........
Wouldn't have it any other way.
