1999 (V) VW Golf 2.3 V5 Estate
MOT: February 2013
Tax: March 2013
For sale is my Golf V5 Estate, something a little bit different than the rest really! The car is currently on 161k miles this will rise as it is in daily use, don't let the mileage put you off as it drives exceptionally well for its age, has stacks of history to prove it has been a very well cared for vehicle and its overall condition belies that of a car with this kind of mileage on - it is a very clean motor.
4 x electric windows, CD player, climate control, trip computer, interior is fitted in black velour (fully GTI spec interior) in good condition.
External the car is finished in metallic silver and is fitted with 17" TSW alloys all of which have excellent tread. If I was going to keep the car I was going to get these powder-coated black as there are some minor kerb marks to them but they still remain presentable.
There is stacks of history with the car, receipts for absolutely all sorts of work done. The service book is stamped up to 2006, there are receipts for all services and other work carried out since.
Two flip keys both of which work, car drives absolutely spot on, no untoward knocks, bangs or clunks. Engine pulls strongly, all gears engage smoothly. I haven't got a receipt for a clutch replacement but its done 161k and the clutch behaves as it should, so I'm guessing its not still on its original! Timing chains on these engines too so no belts to worry about.
All in all there is plenty of life left in the old girl. If I'm honest I don't really want to sell her but I have absolutely no need for two estate cars capable of daily duties and its a case that my V70 is more practical for my day to day needs as I will quite literally cram the boot of it full with my curse word for work and then travel 4 up, something which the Golf isn't so useful for!
I will get some more pictures when I return home from Leicester on Thursday, any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Price is £895 o.n.o, please no silly offers as I will quite happily keep driving it until it sells.
