Looks nice in the pic. Did the blasting expose much tin worm ?? Yeah it did Al just 4 small places 1 under the scuttle area where the heater box lives 2 on the rear 1/4s just above the lights and one area along the roof rail Not bad then, Best to find it now. looking good , will try and get in this week for a nose round  |

Got a little nearer to getting it painted, had a day last Saturday linishing any welds down and applying a skim of filler to the floor pan joints then a coat of gravitex body protector hope to get the first stage of paint on in about six weeks   |

Cheers Steve you'll enjoy this then As you gathered my theme is light weight well I weighed the original 240 dash with wiring clocks and switches 28 kgs the f/glass one with the original metal frame weighed in at at about 6 kgs so I rekon when all fitted up I can save 18kg the pics 1 metal frame fitted from old dash 2 some of the frame cut away 3 and 4 dash fitted all I need to is bond it onto the frame with windscreen bond and its only 8 m6 bolts to put it in     |

That dash looks superb, and well worth it for the weight loss too by the sounds of it.

Thanks Lads although I scared myself today was talking to some bmw blokes today and they told me that the m3 is limited to about 155mph take the limiter off and there good for 170 ish f....me stand alone ecu and half a ton lighter .....shouldn't be allowed
