Brought some Vw T5 steels on eBay for £120 from stuyizz on here Contacted him to say my mate was going to collect (he's in a wheel chair) and didn't manage to collect them at the day agreed contacted the seller and arranged a courier, courier can't find address so gives up.. A few weeks go by... Contact the seller... No response... A few weeks go by... By now I'm Out of the 45 day PayPal dispute timescale.. Phones seller... Answer phone By now I've given up and months have gone by... Phone number still doesn't work... Got myself a 205gti and register on here... And see matey boy registered on here.. Googled his name and find his eBay sale selling the wheels I paid for:( Yes I should have picked them up earlier, but to sell the rims I've paid for, not that happy I've been ringing his number and mailing him on eBay for months Turns out he's received negative on eBay before for making it hard for customers to collect things. Negative feedback: Feedback proving he sold the wheels I paid for: It's the 17" steel wheels I paid for Not a happy chappie, be warned don't deal with this Rodney Stuart if you are reading this, please let this be a lesson, and if you've got the kahunas donate my £120 to help the heroes because I'm fed up with chasing you... Actually just refund my money and I will give it to charity!

They will need good evidence but will over rule paypal,

I can only apologise to the mods on here, it's never good naming and shaming somebody, I actually feel guilty for doing it, but what this guy has done isn't right and other people need to know to stay well clear if you are going to buy anything from him!

sorry to stick my nose in here, but I've known stuy for a few years now, and this seems more than a little out of character for him tbh
I've got him on fb so I'll ask him to have a look at this - hope you can get it resolved between you two

sent him a message - but just realised - he has recently moved, so perhaps that's why there's been a lack of comms?

Like I said I didn't want to do this I have tried and tried to contact the guy with no response, he's phone goes straight to answer phone... So perhaps he's changed his phone... Sent messages through eBay... No response.. When I saw he had then re advertised and sold the rims and received feedback for the sale I knew I was never going to get the rims! Just want the money back and I will donate it to help the heroes, it's not about the money anymore!

Don't blame you for naming and shaming. Usually eBay always side with the Buyer when things go wrong, which is a pain in the for us sellers, as it usually happens when they're received the item, but didn't want to pay for it, so make it out its gone missing in the post, the main reason I use a courier and request a signature for every parcel. I don't like collections! HOWEVER, sellers that don't get back to you about an item you've won are just "curse word"s. Its probably because you got them at a good price, but he wanted more. Been there, done that, pain in the most definitely!! eBay are now gearing towards retailers, not private sellers. Everyone wants a bargain, but no one lists a bargain these days. Name and shame is the way forward!!

Paypal sucks.com look up the horror stories.
I bought an item with paypal and it never turned up. They told me to go suck eggs in the corner.
If you paid with paypal and it draws off your debit card for the payment ie. paypal balance is £0 then you can do a chargeback (that's what I did) but you have to have a copy of all communications. If registered with a credit card it works differently.

This all sounds highly irregular.
Like KFW says, Stu's been an RR regular since year dot, and it sounds very out of character. Are you giving us the whole picture here??

The whole picture is I brought the wheels couldn't get contact with the guy, he then sells the wheels to someone else and keeps my money, it's that simple! Proof is in the pictures

I don`t know stu, but from what I have read there was nothing stopping him from contacting the buyer to return the money. That`s all it takes.
Having said this, things can get lost in translation at times, so as third parties it`s probably best to remain impartial until he has his say.
If it`s as simple as the OP being ripped off, then good on him for naming and shaming as more needs to be done about this type of thing.

Yes I should have picked them up earlier
and Kev says he's just moved house, so theres your answer:
Your too lazy to pick them up, your mate cant turn up on time, your courier is useless and seller has moved house
PM to stu would have been much better than all this whinging

See what some are saying, but at the end of the day, even if you took the p!ss with collecting the wheels, he should have told you to do one and give you your money back.
The fact he's kept the money and not bothered sending you the wheels might mean he had/has no intention of giving you either, moving houses doesnt change your ebay details and theres no excuse tbh.
On the other hand, you should have collected them on time, for whatever reason you didnt, I'd be annoyed but you're still owed the wheels or your money either way, even if you're not telling the whole story. He might have a genuine reason, how long ago was it? And do you know if he's blatantly ignoring your messages?
Find out his address and get either your money or the wheels, you don't have to be a tw@t thats what you're owed. You should'nt even offer him to donate it, thats for you to do once you've got it back.

So you bought them, paid for them, your mate didn't turn up to collect, then a courier couldn't find his address (their fault not his) and then you left it a few weeks to contact him. TBH I'd have sent you a £120 bill for storage.
