Don't know if anybody else has posted about this, but its pretty cool. It's the cafe arm of a classic car restoration / race preperation company just outside Holmfirth, (IK Classics) It's open plan in a big warehouse, with some amazing cars on display (1949 moggy touring car, Rover p4 race car, midgets, ford falcon, etc etc). You can look around the cars (bonnets up, windows down, no 'do not touch' signs etc). It's not your average greasy spoon, and it is out of the way, but does serve great coffees and cakes. I don't have any other interest in it, except its local and I think it's great! Use it or lose it people. Well worth a visit, or even for an arranged car meet / coffee on a lazy weekend! www.yorkshire.com/view/food-drink/hepwirth/the-oil-can-cafe-1429615

Never heard of this place and I'm less than 20 miles away. Definitely going to have to pay them a little visit soon!

Right, Ok, so if I was to organise a meet here, how much lead time do you chaps need?
I know its short notice, however, I was looking at this Saturday, the 29th?
I've just sent the proprietors a message asking if they are open (which I can only imagine they will be..)
If not, Will, James, Matt and any other locals will check it out for those that will have to travel.

I'm sorry guys, I wont be able to make it this weekend, it looks like I'm off to watch some stage rallying instead. However, I have had confirmation back from the owners that they will be opne this weekend. I will get across, possibly this week for a look myself.
