Needed a fix of old cars so took a trip out to Donnington Park for the end-of-year restoration show today. I've not been to this one before and I do think the £8 entry was a little overpriced for what was really a fairly small autojumble - a fiver would have been more like it. Anyway, took a few snaps of the cars there with my little Panasonic - you'll have to forgive the white balance in the indoor shots as they seemed to be all over the place (it usually copes quite well). Anyway, here we go with some of the pics - hope you like 'em.
Nice Ford Fairlane
Triumph GT6
Fully restored Capri GT
Interesting rod
Yummy Jag
TR6
Very nice Acclaim
There's a lot of Triumphs, eh?
Motorbikes too - my dad used to ride one of these Manx Nortons on the road 'back in the day'.
Outside was more interesting to me - I think it's safe to say that anyone willing to bring a 'classic' out for a drive in the middle of winter is probably not too bothered about concours condition. All of these cars have driven themselves over wet, muddy, potholed access roads to get here, and that's the kind of things I like to see.
Very much like these
Esprit Turbo
Immaculate E-Type
Zodiac
Well-used Rover
Austin Cambridge Countryman - seemingly rust-free but painted by a blind man.
Tidy SD1
Viva on allys
Classics in a row
