'ello all! It's pretty busy at Richy Towers, what with the hot rod project and the 525 coming back. And here's another one, this time the '64 HA Viva the missus owns. Needing completion, there's a long story surrounding it too....

my dad had one that had done some sort of morocco raid or something ( pretty standard) he bought it from his sister's ex who owned a scrappy.. think he paid £100 and could use anything in the yard to get it on the road.. he chose a chevette. shows how long ago it was, thats when the young lads used to raise the back end and paint the diff red!!

shows how long ago it was, thats when the young lads used to raise the back end and paint the diff red!! I'm from that era. We would go the whole hog and have a red light shining on the diff, jacked up rear, hi level brake lights and either chrome rostyles or weller 8 spokes. Man! what were we thinking? ;D I've always liked the simplicity of the HA. I had a saloon once but it would overheat on journeys of over 30 miles and I'd have to stop, let it cool, then carry on. All part of its charm. So what is the plan?

Made a comment on this is the background of a photo on your other thread. You must be the only person in the world who has a missus who owns a 64 HA van - respect! Very, very interested to know the full story and outcome of this one. Looks fantastic.

"I'm from that era. We would go the whole hog and have a red light shining on the diff, jacked up rear, hi level brake lights and either chrome rostyles or weller 8 spokes. Man! what were we thinking? " sounds about right!
