I have LPG on my V8 Discovery althou performance has had a little dropped a small bit, its more the drop in MPG, on petrol it was doing 18-20MPG, on gas it drops to 9-13MPG averages about 11MPG most of the time. Am paying the same for gas as I used to pay for petrol when I had a classic Range Rover 12 years ago. Cant believe how the price has risen. That seems a huge drop in MPG, I think i would be getting it looked at as something isn't right there.

My V40 is a factory fit bifuel. Install is pretty neat with twin fuel gauges and the lpg filler in beside the petrol filler under the flap. Only downside is that the tank is the size of a standard spare wheel but the well is designed for a space saver so the boot floor is raised a bit. Its a 1.8 so gives about 30mpg on gas. Filled the petrol in August and there's still a little left:-)
I'm seriously tempted to covert my Masterace as there is barely and difference in performance between gas and petrol:-) I'd love to convert my Kangoo but due to the 4x4 gubbins there's no spare wheel well to undersling a tank and I need the bootspace:-(

Oh and a relevant pic of twin fuel gauges:-) Love watching the petrol gauge stay still:-)

Looks like they switched out the temp gauge for the LPG gauge. I hate the tiny little led fuel level on the switches as you can't really get a good idea of how muh is actually in the tank. I used a smiths gauge on mine. I'm going to be changing the switch once I get a replacement front end kit as I used to have my old 4 pot on lpg but there isn't one on the v6 yet!

Wish I'd bought V8 Petrol/ LPG not a V6 TDI for my daily.
People have been saying "what happens when the govt. put the price of LPG up" for at least 20 years that I can recall....

It runs smoother on petrol and you don't need to push the throttle as much to obtain the same speeds. Its perfectly normal am told, as it scared me to death with a drop like that I thought the was expensive issues were ahead.

Some days you just need to take a grinder to an inanimate object, just to make your day a tiny bit better!!

Sorry, missed the 'tubbs give us a quote' bit. Ever the buisiness man eh ! I charge £1300 for a v8. What year is it ? I've done a few AMG ones. They run very well on gas also. Pay off would be around 10-15k depending on how much you pay for your gas.

My jag drops from about 24 on petrol to 18 on gas. I'm still saving money but you need to factor this in when you start thinking about recouping costs. I think with more powerful engines you tend to see a larger drop

I run mine on LPG, get about 18mpg on gas, 23 on petrol.
Spoke to a chap with a supercharged E55AMG the other day, he gets low twenties on LPG. And not light footed either.
He did have driving gloves on...

all good now, but with the greedy government taking there chunk, now at 74 p a litre here, how long untill its the same price as petrol! You say that, but I've noticed a steady rise only when the price of petrol goes up. It was 50p a litre when petrol was £1 and it's 70p now that petrol is about £1.40 (granted its a little less than that right now but you get what I mean).
