I've noticed since the update I'm having issues when viewing the site on my ipad.
I can't seem to scroll down threads without it freezing and the page becoming unresponsive. It's like it's hugely laggy, it makes browsing the forum a bit annoying.
I have a 30 odd meg broadband connection & the ipad is fairly new and the problems are not repeated on any other website.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Me too. It's such a shame. Too frustrating to use now.

I'm having this problem on my phone (android). Sometimes I need to refresh the page 5 or 6 times before it will load.

I'll report to proboards and see what they say.. I'm not happy about an upgrade degrading performance

I've tried it with Chrome on iPad too and it's little, if any, better.

Hi everyone,
We're sorry that you've been having problems. I did some poking around and I believe that the hovering 'Share' bar on the left side of the screen is to blame. I can reproduce the slowness issue, but only when the bar is enabled.
If one of the forum admins can disable the Share bar in the headers and footers, I believe everything should be back to normal.

As I put in my other whinging thread, removing this floating thing seems to make as much difference as switching to Chrome. Much better now, IE8 and XP.

We're pleased to say that we have an update on this! We detected another source of iPad scrolling/freezing issues, the 'Stories from around the web' section at the bottom of every thread. We have disabled this section until the provider can fix their Javascript. Although the floating 'Share' bar seemed to also be a factor, it may not be as bad as we originally thought. You can try to re-enable it, and see if the problem comes back. If not, then it's safe to use.
