Can anyone ID these engines? (British)

I found these in the garage when I moved into our new house. They belonged to the previous owner's ex-husband and the most I could get out of her was that they were from a "British" car...

Can anyone ID them?

Both BMC A series engines I think. (rather than the larger B series).

Looks like A-series to me, possibly from a Morris Minor?

10MA is (I think) an 1100 A series from a Minor.

The other one looks like an A+

I think the gold one is most likely also a Minor engine though it could be a 948. Being gold would mark it out as being a factory 'Goldseal' reconditioned engine, especially having been re-numbered and therefore losing its original number that would have identified the size (unless goldseal numbers include a code too?). Obviously it could be knackered again by now.

I'd not thought of that. A quick google confirms that 8g162 is a goaldseal. I'd guess out of a minor or a marina.
