Mmm - you should see it in the flesh/metal, utterly stunning  Thanks for putting up the piccies Hotwire. I must admit going to the Goodwood Revival meeting was the most intense automotive event i've ever been experienced. The sheer number of exotic and rare racing and road cars combined with the sounds of their highly strung engines and the smell of Castrol R was just overwhelming. I could have taken hundreds of photos. The highlight of the day (I went on the Friday) Was definitely seeing Andy Wallace (Le Mans driver) Throwing a Mk11 Jag around the track, perfectly sliding the car from one corner and using the pendulum effect to set himself up for the next - awsome [ftp]http://www.retro-rides.com/gallery.asp?issubmitted=displayimage&imageid=1553&folder=45[/ftp] One for the Imp boys ;D |

Mmmmmmm 2000GT, man I'd love to see one of those in the flesh, sadly I'm not aware of any nearby.  Can anyone tell me what engine they used??? I have absolutely no idea! There is one I have on a DVD, that a Japanese tuning shop (C&Y Sports I think) has repowered with a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE engine (most commonly known as the JZA80 Supra engine) just due to lack of availability of bits for the original engine. |

I think the engine was a Yamaha designed 2 litre four cylinder originally designed for Nissan, but I'm not sure.
