Coventry MotoFest 30th May to 1st June 2014

I have a small involvement in this new event, planned for next year to take over the centre of Coventry. if you know Coventry, then you'll be aware of the ring road which its hoped will used for demonstration runs of a wide selection of vehicles.

Just a quick update. We will be shortly issuing a press statement and a full event itinerary, covering CMF events over the 3 days. keep an eye on the website www.coventrymotofest.com/

The car registration form has also just gone live. Pre-registration to park you pre-1994 car in the static area is not a requirement (you can just turn up on the day if we have space) but it would be really helpful if you could fill the form in so I can get a idea of car numbers. If you add your email address, we can email you updates nearer the event. The form is here> static display registration

Also, please get in touch if you are a member of any of the standard-triumph-Rootes clubs or Landrover clubs

It's a shame it's the same weekend as Billing NSRA fun run otherwise I'd have chugged along the this in my Minx, maybe next year.

Met with my chap from VAG/Skoda yesterday. Skoda are hoping to bring their rather fast octavia vrs bonneville to demonstrate on the ring road live action display.

Its a 600bhp ŠKODA Octavia vRS ‘salt spec’ racer which broke the record for the fastest 2.0-litre supercharged production car – built to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iconic vRS performance flagship badge.

Gutted same day as Classic Ford Show otherwise would have been well up for it. Will there be much going on the Saturday, or tbh is it mainly gonna be a Sunday show like most 2 day events?

saturday has the stock car oval , triumph motorbike stunt display team and mission motorsport live action in the city centre. Sunday too plus the ring road action
