Looking at wheel options for the 6. Still trying to pin the seller down, but in the meantime I thought I'd check out alloys and steels options as the original steels may be difficult to get tyres for given modern wheel sizes. I'd like something that bolts straight on rather than trying to find adaptors for three studs as well. I think the 6 is the same PCD as the 4 and 5 which appears to be 3x130 The 5 has many very nice wheel designs I already know about, but no harm if you fancy reminding me in this thread. I've thought of as many three-studs as I can and common internet opinion suggests the following: 3x115: Talbot Samba - Citroen LNA - Peugeot 104 - Citroen 106 - Citroen AX - Citroen Visa 3x130: Renault 4/5/6 3x160: Citroen 2CV ?x???: DAF 55/66 Momo (Renault 4) Wolfrace (Renault 4) BBS? (Renault 4) Amil? (Renault 5 Gordini) Dunlop (Renault 5TS)

Smarts are 3 x 112.5mm. Roadsters have some nicely dished steels.

Its not an early thing on saxo/106, it was base models, sporty ones and the later 1.5 d were 4 stud.
its 3x98, and a 58mm centre bore, so like a fiat with a missing bolt
Normal pugs are 65mm cb.

DAF 44 55 66 46, 3 by 125. They are 14 inch from the factory and tyres are a pig to get hold of. Marathon cars have the same PCD but 13 inch wheels that can wear much wider tyres. DAF 600 750 30 31 32 33, are 3 by 125 but don't have a centre bore. They are 13 inch from the factory tyres are easy to find. There are several different wheel designs but my favourite would be V66 GLS wheels. There are a few different styles of aftermarket wheels around but they are expensive due to the unusual PCD

Surely adaptors are the way forwards. Go 4 x 100 and a whole world of options opens up before you. The cost of adaptors would be partly offset by the resulting cheaper wheels

I too would suggest adaptors, but instead of 4x100 I'd opt for a PCD that would attract lower scene tax so your wheels are cheaper I typed "PCD for winners" into Google but it just came up with something about the pussycat dolls and purple cake day.

Renaults with the engine in the back like 8's and 10's had 3 stud wheels and I think the 10 my Grandfather had 14" wheels on it. Alpine A110's has 3 stud ones as well but probably wouldn't be much good due to the width and offset.

Apparently 2006-present Merc Sprinters are 6x130. Get a set of steels from one of those and reverse them for dishyness? Quick look shows they're availableEdit: They're 16"s, might be an interesting look, haha.

Hang about Vulgourlair - When did you get a renner 6? Keep up at the back there! retrorides.proboards.com/thread/160396/tell-me-renault-6I've sold the red Princess and funds are going towards rescuing the above, because I'm a glutton for punishment/love and underdog/like basket-cases/have no sense (delete as applicable).

My word, top hunting there, Clement! I don't know how to get the images here either, Leboncoin is tricksy. That first set of Gottis is blooming lovely. Looks like there's really cheap options too, makes the delivery charge inconsequential whatever it ends up being. Of course, I could always take a wheel holiday to France.

Try this 'for sale' thread on the 'Friends of the Renault 15 & 17' forum - there's 51 pages of (mostly) 3x130 wheels there. Here's a few examples: M.A.S.: Targa: Another Targa: Dunlop 3-spoke: A nice set of chromed R8/R17 steelies: Try googling 'jantes 3 trous 130' (wheels 3 holes 130), it should get you a few results and it should work on ebay and leboncoin as well. There is a French company called Delta Mics who were a bit like Ripspeed or Demon Tweeks. They used to sell their own wheel designs and resell wheels from other suppliers under their own name as well (they only sell quad bikes and wheel spacers nowadays though). It's worth searching for Delta Mics, I like this design of theirs which pops up fairly often on that thread, and seem to be mostly seen on Renault 8 Gordinis: They also did these mesh ones as well, both in split rim and single piece designs: They also sold steelies, including some odd-looking multifit Weller-style 8 spokes and these super deep dish ones for the R8:

buzby: That's brilliant info! Those first Delta Mics, the Dunlops and the Targas are awesome, especially the Targas in fact. Looks like there is more choice than I'd expected out there.
