Gorgeous innit! I seem to remember it was posted up on VZi a long time ago (different pic) and RMad suggested that a Triumph 2000 might make for a similar looking base car   |

I remember that,.. because I then spent about 2 months looking at Triumph 2000s ,..
Would need to ditch the bumpers on a Trimuph 2000, but you can get a similar look,...
Maybe next year I won't build a racing car,..... /drifts away thinking/,...

What lovely lines! You know, I really wonder what is going on nowadays. All these car designers graduating and not being able to find jobs, HELLO car companies, you need these people to put a bit of spark back into the industry

Whoops sorry guys. The R100 is based around the 1200/1300 not the 1500 which is totally different. Yes, I'm glad you corrected that, you had me all confused for a second as just the other weekend (the same as looking at the 240ZG) I was cruising around in a Mazda 1200, and I was fairly certain it was that shape that the R100 used but being my Mazda knowledge is very limited I became very confuzzled! All good now though, back to making sense! This is the Mazda 1200 I got to have a ride in, what a beast it was, I really enjoyed it, belongs to a guy called Hayden who also has a Datsun 510, he plans to bring it to showroom condition so it should be pretty special once it's all done. ![]() www.muchos.co.uk/members/maz1200/mazda 1200 - ready to cruise.jpg[/img] |

That'll be nice when it's done! Those Triumph 2000s/2500PIs are nice, I've always thought one of those 2.5PI engines would have potential. |
