We have a TomTom One Satnav and are driving to France in a few weeks time. Yes we need French maps. I don't think our TTOne will download French maps iirc (it has no memory card slot), so I'm looking to upgrade to a slightly newer, but second-hand TomTom with a memory card slot. Any recommendations? I've had a browse of EvilBay, but it's not obvious which have slots or not. Got around £60ish to spend. Anyone got one and can help with ideal model? Have a good old-fashioned map of where cars are currently made in Britain.  |

I've got Tom Tom Europe on my Samsung galaxy S3 android smartphone.
Downloaded it from play store,think it was about £40.
Works really well and has a regular update.

I have a tom tom one with european maps. In fact I bought it specifically for going to France. Same, but if you're buying used, make sure it's up to date with the maps. I drove back last in May and there were a few important roads missing. |

Thanks all. Looks like I can get a France map download for just under £30, which is more than I wish to spend on an old satnav with limited memory. Decision made - I'm going to buy a newer tomtom with europe maps preloaded.
