Please appreciate when I say this as I think its a bit of a cliche, but I really don't want to sell this car. It is a 1988 Peugoet 205 gti 1.9 with a twist.
It started life as a standard 1.9 gti and I drove it daily for a few months. One day the bracket for the clutch arm broke off inside the gearbox, and promptly smashed everything to bits and leaving me by the side of the motorway. As the gearbox was pretty expensive and hard to track down I did what all rational retro riders would decide to do. Buy another whole, running, taxed, MOT'ed daily driver and take the engine and gearbox out of it and put them in the 205. I didnt want any old engine I wanted a 2.1 12 valve diesel engine from a 406. That is a brief outline of a very long story....now;
Now the car is sat at a friends workshop in a half complete state and needs someone new to take it on. This is for 2 reasons (Usual rubbish reasons I'm afraid) I have been offered a new job and just really don't have time to finish it, and he needs the space back (something about running a business or whatever???) He has been more than fair and now is the time to shift it and let him get on with things.
A very very short summary of the car. the car is standard apart from the modifcation made to the engine and gearox The engine is in the car on custom mounts and fits (just). I have had driveshafts made but they arent fitted. The electrics, fuel, water and intercooler need connecting up. I am not sure how you would go about any of this as with all these projects its a kind of suck it and see...

Please don't be under any illusions this is a big project but it is as far as I know the only one in the country and will be cool as fark when its finished..
