If anyone is staying over there is a really good pub about a mile away that does great food. www.stanfordbridgepub.co.uk/I live near to Shelsley so if you want to know anything about local amenities just ask. I have nothing whatsoever to do with the organisation of the actual event.

A question ref the hillclimb runs. As i'm sure you are aware, the only way down shelsley is the way up! So if I take my car up and i'm the first in a group, i'm going to have to wait for 10/15 mins ish each time to be able to get back down, thus missing important portions of the show (I want to minimise what I miss, even driving up the hill means I miss too much!).
What is the top paddock etiquette/plan going to be? This will be vital to the number of cars and runs you'll be able to fit in.
also, the hill is mighty big, any chance of some stanna stair lifts being installed, I was buggered after watching last year from only half way up the hill.
finally, any saturday discounted events, the opportunity to take a trip to Shelsley last year was fantastic and i'd love to do something similar again.

I've actually booked advance ticket this year, and will be camping for the first time with my two kids (they begged me to agree last year), so I'll be looking for a slightly quieter bit of the field, but not too quiet What's the deal with BBQ's etc?

Whats the situation with camping on the Sunday night too? Possible or not possible?

Ah, excited already.
Just a query of my own - for us weekenders last year, we were able to leave the tents up till the end of the show on Sunday - therefore negating the need for me to take a car full of camping gear up the hill - this was a good idea and I hope we can do it again!

I can't make the Friday as I'm on holiday with the family, but I'll be there on the Saturday afternoon, ready for camping overnight. I'm assuming it'll be ok to come by motorbike to the campsite?

Yes no problem to leave up your tents on Sunday and collect them later in the day. Whats the situation with camping on the Sunday night too? Possible or not possible? Not possible I'm afraid What's the deal with BBQ's etc? We're still working out the finer details of camping. We'll have the Saturday Social as ever in the restaurant and bar area (yes we have this at Shelsley as well ) A question ref the hillclimb runs. We're looking this year at doing £x for y runs. Firstly to limit the number of runs people get so that a) everyone gets a fair chance, b) we avoid people getting more and more to the edge of their skills and thus more likely to crash, c) we get a nice range of cars. I guess this means you can take a break and check out the show between your runs? We're still working out the finer details of the hill and how it will all work. I live near to Shelsley so if you want to know anything about local amenities just ask. Thanks for your help/advice so far For the hillclimb will the morning and afternoon sessions be signed up in the morning? or will there be two sign on times? Personally i want to run up the hill in the afternoon so i can have the car on the clubstand for most of the day and go round the show in the morning. No chance of a few runs on Saturday for people who are camping? See the answer above for hillclimb stuff. No runs on Saturday I'm afraid, it is hard enough running a one day event I can't make the Friday as I'm on holiday with the family, but I'll be there on the Saturday afternoon, ready for camping overnight. I'm assuming it'll be ok to come by motorbike to the campsite? Yes of course Could we move the date a bit, its clashing with my wedding / honeymoon and I'm not allowed to fly back for it Can't move it this year, we'll see how we feel on this weekend this year, maybe we'll move it back in August next year, hopefully you'll not be getting married then Would a reliant 3 wheeler be allowed up the hill? Don't see why not... try not delay other people's fun on the hill by crashing it.

I forgot to ask. The Healey may be on straight through pipes if I can get it on to a certain beach in Wales before RRG14. Will there be a noise limit?

Can we have a separate thread on the hill climb?
I've yet to really get my head round it and whilst the previous venue we learnt every year (last session issues excepted) here we are starting with a new venue and different logistics.
I've got loads of ideas in draft but nothing concrete enough to offer as a plan
