I saw a few shots on the book of Faces and photmagram last week.
Insanely jealous. I was going to point out that it's a good job you only had Chris there, not The Po.

Well that's a bit harsh, I've been there many, many times and driven lots of their cars (even took the Anglia 105e to Switzerland). The fact I broke most of them is a reflection on Ford's build quality, or at least that's what I'm sticking with.
It's such a fantastic place. Not been there for a number of years, it looks to be a bit busier these days. Pleased to see the Farnham estate has been built up.
Did Ivan show you the holy grail? It's a YB still in its original shipping crate, never been in a car, 0 miles.

Some lovely looking cars there. The XR2 on the ramp reminds me of mine as thats pretty much the same view of it I got when I picked it up.
I guess they aren't for public viewing, seems a shame though but how many times do you go to museums and see people have niced badges etc off the cars.

When l was a in the training office a dagenham they had a museum there was realy interesting was only open to emplyee's and only set times, remember they had one of the 4x4 ferguson MK1 capris there, it's all gone now guess the cars are now in that museum.

The thing is, this isn't a museum. It's a working fleet of cars and with that, a fully functioning workshop.
Almost all of them are taxed and MOTd - they're there because they have to go out and make a living. So, while it's a bit of bummer that the place isn't open to the public, it's great that Ford are being proactive and encouraging the motoring press to use these cars in whatever way they see fit.
And Rob, you're right. In fact, the green Capri pictured is that Massey Ferguson 4x4 of which you speak.

Dreamed about visiting this collection. Absolute heaven. That yellow mk2 transit, the rs200, the Sierra ghia etc etc I could go on. However, I did notice a couple mk2 Grannies, did you happen to get any pics of them please? And if not, why not??

What's that then? Not seen one before. Pop down to 'Smiths and grab a copy of the latest issue of Classic Ford if you want to read the feature. You should buy Retro Ford at the same time (that seems like the right thing to do as this is, sort of, an RF thread!).
