Having bought a rusty, crusty badly welded beetle floorpan to build a rail, and with the shed getting a bit cramped, I decided I needed skates and a rotisserie, but being a cheapskate thought I would make my own, so some castors were bought from screwfix, followed by a session of cut, grind, weld using some box section left over, and I ended up with this. Wheel skates are the base, the rotisserie uprights bolt to them, the space in the middle will have a plate welded in, for axle stands to sit in, so can be used as chassis dolly. Ttfn Glenn

Catastrophic fail as a rotisserie, as soon as work started it would roll away, so once the beetle pan is back on the floor, will need to fit some braked casters, until then will need to block it, to stop it going walkies Ttfn Glenn

Hi, or replace two of the castors with box section legs. Then when you want to move it jack up the end or side with the legs with a trolley jack and wheel it around.

Thanks for suggestions, but will go for locking wheels. That way can use hands to manouver and a quick flick with the toe, and its locked, have to keep all wheels for when its in skate or dollie mode Ttfn Glenn Never made one of these before, so this is a test model/learning curve. If I make some more will take a bit more time and more accurate
