Rover 420 sdi turbo diesel 1999

122k low for a diesel & this car has plenty of life left in it, good cheap car to run.
Do not confuse with unreliable petrol versions.
This car has an L-series Perkins turbo Diesel engine that have been ran to 300k plus!
It uses a Bosch VP fuel pump that can be happily run on diesel, bio fuel or vegetable oil with no modifications.
It shares all electrics & interior & body shell with 5dr honda civic of same era so this is very well made.
I recently covered a few countries in Europe in the car with no issues whatsoever, drove across France, Belgium & Holland.
Car regularly returns 550+ miles on a run & does between 45-58mpg usually.
Uses no water & no oil.
Exterior is very clean for the year with minimal dents or scratches, & no rust apart from a crease on the bonnet.
Interior is also very tidy, it has most mod cons needed, remote central locking, pas, abs, x2 air bags, air conditioning, x4 electric windows, electric mirrors & auto rear wipe.
X4 factory fitted mats
Sony CD/MP3 aux & iPod stereo.
All working & also has black half leather sports seats out of GSI fitted.
Car has recently been serviced and had a new set of glow plugs fitted, auxiliary belt & fuel filter changed.
Has had some modifications carried out by previous owner.
EGR delete to stop clogging of inlet.
Decat, helps turbo spool, discreet though so still passed MOT.
Modified turbo setting so now makes 1.1-1.3bar

New up rated Kevlar clutch & release bearing.

Estimated power 125-135bhp & 220+ Lbft torque, easily quicker than my friends 320d due to weight & gearing which is quite amusing in an old rover diesel!
Very solid underneath no rust I inspected it before I drove through Europe, all I could see it needed was possibly x2 ball joints & a set of handbrake shoe's or rear cables adjusting.
I have brought the parts & will be included in the sale.
Only fault on the car is when stone cold it can take a few turns to fire, but it always starts without fail & once it's been started it goes first turn of the key everytime!
