Skoda Octavia estate 1.9 Tdi

Spec : CD player, airbags, ABS, aircon (needs new pump pulley), electric windows and mirrors, heated mirrors, remote central locking
I've owned this as my daily driver for the last 18 months and it hasn't let me down once. I've done about 20,000 miles in this time as a combination of commuting and trips all around the UK and Ireland. Very comfy and economical and has had a lot spent to keep it reliable and running strong for years to come. I had intended to keep this for the foreseeable future but I have now been offered my dad's old car which suits my needs a bit better so I'm reluctantly selling.
In the last 20k it has had :
- Cambelt, tensioners, waterpump
- New auxiliary belt and tensioner
- New front discs and pads
- New rear coil springs
- New thermostat
- Oil changes every 3-4k
- Full service including air filter, pollen filter and fuel filter
- I've fitted front and back seats from a VW Golf mk4 (the same car with a different badge) which are much comfier and better looking than the originals.
- New gearbox mount
- Brand new skoda wheel trims
I've also sorted out most of the common issues that these cars can suffer from, with the aim of making this reliable everyday transport.
Other good points :
- Very good matching continental tyres all round
- Very economical, easily gives 55mpg+, even doing a mix of town driving, short runs and A roads
- Lots spent by myself and all common problems sorted
- Massive load space with the seats down, very practical
Not so good points :
- A few scrapes, minor dents and scratches as you would expect at this age.
- Front passenger electric window doesn't work, I think it's come off the runner but there may be a motor problem as well. All others work so it hasn't been a problem.
- Sometimes can be a slight holding back of power when accelerating. It's done this as long as I can remember and I don't accelerate quickly so it's never been a problem. I just want to be honest.
- Door cards and seats don't match, but seats are very nice
- A few bits of rust along a couple of the wheel arches and along the bottom of the boot lid, underneath is absolutely solid though so no MOT concerns
- Boot doesn't unlock with the central locking, but opens fine with the key. I think it's down to connectors in the boot, I'll have a look when I get 5 minutes.
- A/C doesn't work, I believe all that's needed is a new pump pulley.
I've priced this to sell, I will be sad to see it go but hopefully it will find a good new owner on here.
