Looking for a good quality out side car cover. Theres loads on the net but its hard to tell from a photo. Storm forse ones seem the ones to have but at £130 are they really and better than a £50 one?

From my experience they all seem to trap moisture in and if its windy they rub the paint off. I wouldn't spend the money if I were in your position. Just an opinion though, I'm sure some will disagree.

I've had no success with them either. The ones I've used either trap moisture or actually let rain through.

the only good ones are the ones with a alloy frame but they are not cheap.

I don't think the wife or neighbors would be to happy if i put one of them on the drive in front of the front window. Problem is i have to sort something out as there no rood on the car and no room in the garage.

Depends on what your requirements are, but I have 2 x outdoor Carcoons... one is now 11 years old and the other 7.5 years old. They are brilliant, no issues with damp or corrosion inside, and have the ability to keep the car battery trickle charged.
Expensive, but worth it!

I mean no room in the garage for the car lol As much as i,d like one, It would be ideal its a big thing to have sat on the drive. Shame they don't make them with a lower roof height.

I have one which I bought whilst at the goodwood festival of speed. Can't remember the company name, but I would imagine the premium ones are all pretty similar. Mine is a universal one (I say universal, but they supplied them in varying sizes to cover small to large cars). I mostly use it in the summer to stop the sun turning my red polo pink, rather than protecting it from rain. I would describe the cover as water resistant rather than waterproof (it is a soft fabric one with 4 layers, much like the fabric shown here:http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/stormforce.htm). I only ever fitted it to the car when clean, dry and free of dirt or dust. Had no issues whith paint getting scratched or going milky, which can happen.
