If I ever get everything here organised and come across it I'll let you know, I know the turbo is gone but everything else should still be there and you could have it for free/swap for the wheels if you want.
I need to do this/a similar swap in my 5 still, yours is probably running at least 3-4 times the amount of power mine does haha.

Have you got a spare engine? When it was in the volvo it was supposed to be getting 170hp, but now its in a lighter shell, quicker gearbox and boost keeps creeping up to 25 psi, i rekon it flys up to something like 200. I want more though

The Williams is too nice to take the engine from so I'd probably take Lake's offer on a 440/60/80 turbo. I've just about got enough £ for it but I'll probably need to daily the '76 so I can keep the 5 off the road to do the swap. (how long did yours take?)

I can get it mated to the 'box and dropped in when I buy it, then finish it back here but I think it's the wiring that scares me the most haha

Ok, rocker cover and inlet paint time. Coat 1 Blue for inlet fanimold and yellow for the cover (means i can compliment the wheels with either) The suspect oil feed pipe Nothing wrong with that, so the oil leak is not from there, which means i don't have to get a braided hose, so thats good. Next theory is the drain, or just a dodgy sump or sump plug. They have both had a fair few whacks. Id like a bracket for the boost controller, will have to knock something up at work. Turbo has been blowing, so have to order a new gasket. I'm pretty sure ive been through about 4 of these now and 3 of the fibre ones. I think ill get a fibre one but give the housing and manifold a file first. Will have to get a second coat on the paint parts when i get a chance. Get all that back on, then have a good look at the cooling setup. Ive decided against a front mount aswell.

I'm getting half hour here, half hour there. Ive filed the turbo and manifold ports down and put the gasket back in and bolted that up nice and tight (see if that leaks again, I'm betting it will) Re-routed some of the earths and the loom round the turret as it was getting a battering from the cam belt cover and p-cliped that down. The rocker covers back on. The manifolds back on. Got some of these GTT shocks to pick up. Think they're koni. Meaning I can get my GTT hubs on and have some performance suspension and brakes. While I'm at that ill put new bottom ball joints on as they were an advisory last mot. Next on the list is: Make up a throttle gasket as i broke the old one. Cut the fuel lines down to a sensible size and tie back. Cut the brake servo line down about 30mm so its not stressing itself. Tidy up the fan and temp wiring. Source a nice catch tank (probably get a GTT or clio one) and make up a bracket for it or put it in the scuttle with the ECU's Make up ECU and boost controller brackets. Then get it rolling and wait for summer to mess with wheels and stuff.

This looks hard as nails with those wheels.

I'd rather loose by a mile cause I built my own car than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let anyone else write the book.

Cheers, I loved it but they just did not fit and I didn't want to modify anything to get them to fit.

Yeah it wont work. I have power to the ignition relay and power going out of it to the fuel pump relay. But fuel pump is doing nothing, i have no fuel and no spark. But it is cranking. Anyone have any ideas on what to check next? Mark

Is your fuel pump fudged? Does it work when its wired straight to battery?
