Selling my work-horse Escort, has served me well over the last year. The car is scruffy with rusty bits in places and the inside is very dirty as
its been used as a van/tow vehicle though it would clean up ok with some elbow grease.
Has RS 7 soft spoke 15" alloys with very good tyres, electric windows, central locking, power steering and a tow-bar.
Good points are that it is mechanically sound, I wouldn't have a problem driving the car anywhere. Has had cam-belts, new battery and alternator.
There are some advisories on last mot, drivers sill rusty (will need welding next year, I have a new sill that's included) n/s/f cv boot perished, o/s/f lower arm bush perished.
On inspection the n/s cv boot needs replacing as it has now split.
About six months ago I decided to get a bit more power from the old girl, so I have increased the fuelling, boost and removed the egr control system.
It goes surprisingly well, upsets a few people at traffic lights and leaves a nice big black smoke screen when you boot it (perfect for tailgaters!)
Also it will return 40-45 mpg if you drive normally and has plenty of power for towing.
I'm selling as I have a Discovery for everyday duties now and have no need for the trusty Escort. Will be sorry to see it go as its been very good to me.
