Hello,
I'm selling my 1998 Mazda 323 1.5 LXi and thought I'd see if anyone on here fancied it. 132k on the clock, just had a couple of part-worns fitted and as of this morning it's been serviced as well. I need to shift it in the next couple of weeks as I will be getting a bigger car, this was purchased a couple of weeks ago as a temporary stop-gap and it's done the job admirably. If I didn't need a larger car, I'd be keeping it.
Good points:
Taxed until January 2015
MOT'd until 21st April 2015
4 good tyres (albeit all four are different brands I've never heard of), grips very well round corners
Very sweet, smooth and responsive engine
Just serviced with fresh oil, filters, wipers and spark plugs
Everything electrical seems to work except the aerial which I just use as a manual one.
Bad points:
Bodywork is pretty rough - a previous owner's nudged a fair few walls with it and done some pretty shoddy rattle-can repairs, most panels have dents and scrapes of some sort but nothing major. Looks fairly OK from a few feet away. Not much rust that I can see, just a few bubbles around the windscreen.
Passenger electric window switch missing but the window works fine off the driver's side
It has A/C but doesn't blow cold, might just need regassing
The driver's seat frame has broken on one side so the seat's a bit lop-sided - it's still perfectly useable and you do get used to it though.
I reckon this has a lot of life left in it, you could probably tidy it up with a day's work if you know what you're doing but I quite like the knocks and scrapes, it gives it character and keeps other road users away. Since I've had it I've done about 500 miles, put two part-worns on it and serviced it. Mechanically it wants for nothing as far as I can tell other than a squeaky power steering belt on full lock - a new belt is £7 from EuroCarParts.

I am in Bideford in North Devon, I will do my best to help with collection by meeting you somewhere closer if it helps the deal. I would like £350 for it - PM me for more details.
