Saved this from the scrapper recently, it's a '98 E36 318ti (the 140 bhp one) and it's done only a mere 52k in its life, one family owned from new. I've known this car for several years, and it was bought new by a neighbors father, who then gave it to my neighbor (transferred the log book) who had no use for it due to a company car.
Plan was to MOT it and sell it to clear some space, but it failed due to the ABS light being on and said neighbor has no time or inclination to fix it so was going to scrap it, which I thought was a shame so I've taken it on.
The garage have said sans the light it would have flown through the MOT, the body work is in very good condition, as is the cloth interior (I'll clean it before it goes) and it drives well. They couldn't pin point the fault, so I really don't know if it is a sensor, or the pump. If it doesn't sell I'll probably attempt to trace and solve it myself but I thought I'd see if anybody wanted it as it is.
It's got three keys and the small forth one (not sure what its for?) and stacks of old MOT papers and general receipts. The four tyres look usable for the forseeable future and there are some disks and pads in the boot brand new that have yet to go on the rear.
Also got the recent MOT failure sheet so anybody can take it for a re-test if they like, happy to accommodate viewings. Based in WF13, West Yorks. Email across any questions and I'll do my best to answer.
Cheers.
Jim.
