Hi, I have a BMW 323i for sale. Its abit tatty but mechanically its never failed me. Only purchased due to fix up my other car, and now thats done it needs to go. Shame as I'd love to keep it and get into drifting but I have a vtec Polo to build so it would just be sat doing nothing. I bought this in Fabruary off of J1MMY on here so he knows what its like.
1998 S reg
183k
Silver
MOT until August 21st 2015
Alloy wheels - fronts are 16", backs are 15" in different styles, someone pinched the matching pairs from my garage.
Leather interior
Air Con (needs a recharge possibly)
Fog Lights
On Board Computer
CD Player with AUX
Electric mirrors
Automatic dimming rear view mirror
Automatic Stability Control
Alarm and Remote Central Locking
Bodywork in reasonable condition
Tyres - Front are good, backs are on the limit so would need changing asap
Mechanically spot on; however the steering wheel wobbles at about 60mph, was told the wheel bearing is the cause
I changed the spark plugs and air filter about 2000 miles ago.
Engine pulls strong despite high mileage
Unmodified
Bad Points:
It has a leak. When it rains the passenger footwell fills up with water. It didnt bother me as hardly anyone sat in the passenger seat. J1MMY did say it might be something to do with the drain holes, but I couldnt find anything. I'm no expert on BMW's though.
Because of the leak, it has no carpets.
Passenger window doesnt work. I had it working for a day by tapping the motor with a hammer but it stopped again.
As said before; back tyres need doing asap.
As said before; different alloys front and back.
As said before; only thing mechanically that needs doing is the ball joint.
Has minimal paperwork, but has the stamped BMW service book in wallet, you can ofcourse find the MOT history online.
Air bag light is on. My friend at the garage plugged it into his BMW diagnostics, and it comes up as a fault in the passenger side SRS system (seatbelt pretensioner I think). At first it was a suspected dodgy connector but chopping them out didnt solve it, so the unit itself might be faulty.
I think that about covers it, any more questions send me a message. It would be an ideal winter runner, fixer upper or weld the diff and take it drifting.
I'm looking for about £450ono. Located near Bristol.
Heres a pic from the owner before J1MMY. Current condition is exactly the same minus wheels:
