This sounds really cool Hmm I wonder if the MG would make it all the way to Le Mans.. Oh also, you may struggle to get cars on the Eurostar, the Euro Tunnel however..

I'd love to join this, I've never even been to the 24hrs before.
Meanwhile, if I can be of any help regarding organization, translation and whatnot, feel free to contact me. I might even move slightly closer to le Mans (about 3hrs away) early next year, if that's any use.

Having never driven in Le Fronze. Is there anything "outlawed"? is driving a loud straight piped stripped out car with bucket seats, horrific fuel emissions & shoddy bodywork allowed? (insert renault joke here)

The lads on bmw enthusiasts have been talking to a bloke with one of the ferry companies about bulk buying for another show. I'll see if I can get the details We drove to France earlier this year and every bulb has to be working and spares with you, you need things you out on your lights, can't remember the names lol and few other bits, if you Google checklist or driving in France you'll see everything you need

(insert renault joke here) When you see some of the stuff heading for Le Mans, I shouldn't worry too much. Just beware of the sneaky speed traps littered about, but if you drive half-sensibly, you're unlikely to get pulled for anything.

Also if you take a sat nav make sure speed cameras are turned off as the traps pick up on them..
Everyone told us to watch for the traps but they were relatively spottable

The only ones we encountered last year on the route from Calais to the Château were on the bridges (three of them)... I set two of them off (oops!). Our cruise down there should be a bit more leisurely, I was rushing because I left super late!

Oh yes!
This is a superb idea for a show. If (if) my mini is finished and ive got the time free and the dosh, I'm well up for this.

I'm keeping my eye on this thread, something I have always wanted to do is a road trip abroad, and the panther is well up for it too!

Mind the rather low speed limits, carry warning vests and all is good Oh and remember that "gazole" does not translate into "gasoline"

Hi viz jackets in the car (not the boot ) for everyone in the car . A breathalyser in the car. Its also illegal to have speed camera warnings on your sat nav!!

Oh and remember that "gazole" does not translate into "gasoline" As a diesel owner I got VERY confused at the pumps and ended up looking on the internet for a translation

Can anyone give a break down of actual costs involved here. Far enough 60 quid for camping, but how much petrol to get there and back, tickets for the race, ferry, toll roads, ect ect.
