The last time I competed so many people said ' I only live round the corner, I wish I had known' blah blah blah. So here it is, as sent to me, hot off the Goodwood press. The best thing is it's Goodwood but entry is FREE to spectators. Bring a coat as it usually rains but then it is a bank holiday.

SPRING SPRINT RETURNS TO EASTER MONDAY
The iconic GRRC Spring Sprint, now in its tenth year, returns to its usual Easter Monday slot and will be held on Monday 6 April this year. This competitive event is ever popular and a great way to enjoy the track here at Goodwood within a competitive yet fun environment. The Spring Sprint sees around one hundred Members compete in an array of exciting cars for the best lap time within their class and prizes are awarded to fastest overall, fastest in class, fastest lady and spirit of the sprint.
Guests are welcome to bring guests to the event to support you and join in the atmosphere at no cost. Anyone attending the event as a spectator will be asked to park in Car Park D and enter the circuit through gate 12. Please follow the signs, and directions of marshals. There will be a programme available for visitors to purchase on the day, priced at £4 each.
Food and drink will be available to all from the Old Control Tower and the Naafi Wagon, both of which will be open form 0700hrs serving many food and beverage options. The Richmond Lawn will hold the GRRC Members’ enclosure, within which you will find a Marquee with trackside viewing, and additional provision of food and drink throughout the day.
Competitors will be able to gain access to the Motor Circuit from 0600hrs and need to report for sign in by 0700hrs. Spectators can gain access as of 0700hrs, with the high octane on track action to commence at 0900hrs, with a break for lunch, and concluding at 1600hrs. We will round off the day with a prize giving to which all entrants and spectators are invited.
I am pleased to inform you that, as last year, the Spring Sprint will be organised by the GRRC (now a recognised MSA Club) in conjunction with the BARC, and we are confident that our combined expertise will ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all.
Cost:
• Competitor Entry Fee - £179
• Spectator’s admission to circuit – free of charge
Are you eligible to enter?
The Spring Sprint is open to all Members who hold the correct competition licence. Where a competitor holds only a National ‘B’ speed licence (and not a race licence), then some evidence of that competitor’s prior experience of circuit driving may be requested prior to acceptance of the entry.
