I bought this just over a year ago to run around in and then pop the engine into my E30. But the E30 is now so far from even being able to roll and I have a different daily, which means this is redundant.
Comes with stacks of history and I bought it from a friend who paid way too much for it (when it was slightly more mint).
Since I've had it, its had a genuine nearside front caliper, Pagid front discs and pads, Lemforder inner and outer track rods, replacement genuine back box, new thermostat with alu housing (standard plastic ones are pants) and its been recently tracked. Also has a replacement ABS sensor the the ABS and ASC work as they should.
It's got the beige leather, 18 button OBC, sunroof, 4x electric windows, the rarer padded leather door cards, the 10 speaker HiFi jobby.
This is a completely standard car, never had a welded diff or coilovers. Not many around which have avoided that treatment.
Bad bits, there's a reason its so cheap. Its been used as a runaround/van for the past few months, so its a bit weathered...
Handbrake is dead, comes with new cables, just not fitted.
Usual ignition barrel problem, still starts first time, every time, but you'd the key in the barrel as per usual for the immob., but then start it directly with a screwdriver (not quite as sketchy as it looks/sounds!)
Rear suspension is tired
P/S pump is whining.
Red brake warning light comes on from time to time.
Basically, it's a far from mint work horse which is ratty, but a drive-away engine conversion for someone. I think its a bargain, it will break well for someone too.
