I bought this as a run around/workhorse and then promptly decided I didn't like it, so naturally I placed her up for sale on here and Ebay.
In the duration of the auction I had been running it to and from work as it had 3/4 of a tank.
Then to teach me a lesson it lost power and become noisy...
On inspection I discovered that some idiot hadn't tightened the crank pulley properly allowing it to come loose, this then led to the timing belt jumping several teeth. I proceeded to correct the timing (tightening the crank bolt properly) and start it to see what happens.
The end result is a noisy, smoky, rough running Volvo estate
So, I would assume that some valves have been clipped and to be honest I'm curse word off with it now and have no intention of fixing it at all!
The one thing I'm grateful for is that no one bought it before it happened!
So, it's a scruffy old thing but it's basically sound and would be a good fixa-upper if you where so inclined (which I'm not)
It does come with extensive service history and has had 6 new injectors in Feb 2015, coming to £650!!!
