bought at the beginning of December ive been using it to get from Stroud to Bristol for work (56 mile round trip) which it has done admirably
returning around 40mpg and not letting me down at all
as a commuter car this has been far better than my old 1.1's given its longer ratio final drive (i think its the same as the saxo vtr) so it sits at motoway cruising speeds very comfortably
i did a quick service when i got it, consisting of;
new o/s driveshaft
gearbox oil and new seal
oil filter and oil change
new rear shoes
new tyre
tracking done after new driveshaft fitted
that was all it needed, so that was all it got
mechanically, its very sound but its does have a few small cosmetic issue. mainly missing trim pieces; boot badge, drivers side front rub strip, pass inner door handle trim, RF reciever cover, CL has been disconnected by PO but i think its all there and could be made to work again
the car will is sold without a stereo, it did have the standard unit when i bought it but this has never worked and was replaced with an aftermarket item that ive since moved to another vehicle
I'm a big fan of 80's/90's PSA hatchbacks and this is a good little example of a car that will only become more sought after
if i didnt already have numerous other cars id be more than happy to keep using it
the car is currently in Bristol BS2 and can be viewed there any time, evenings and weekends it can also be viewed at my home address in Stroud GL5, if arrangements are made in advance
