This has been my daily workhorse and been very good at it, but something has come up that I've wanted for a long time and its within my reach, but I have no space on the drive for it, so a sacrifice needs to be made.
Good points are:
Stage 1 remap (130hp at the flywheel, 100 at the wheels, 275nm) Very lively now.
Straight through exhaust - I have cut out the cat (have a replacement for MOT's) and a silencer. I have a straight pipe for the rear but atm i have the standard backbox on.
TA Technix coilovers.
Banded steels on the rear 15 x 8.5 and 15 x 6.5 on the front
Interior is in very good condition, Only point of interest is the air con condenser vent pipe is spilling into the passenger footwell.
Cambelt done 2 weeks ago, all good.
I'm sure ive 0-60d it at about 7.5 - 8. (with a good 45mpg)
MOT till May 16 2016, only advisories were front tyre (again i have a spare to go with), and oil leak from engine area, It must be really small as I never notice a change on the dipstick.
Mileage is at 136000, I am the 5th owner and have had it for nearly 2 years.
The tow bar is only still on there as its looks like its adding strength underneath, although wiring has been removed.
Bad points are:
Speed sensor needs changing, I have this, I just cant physically get to it with my tools. This is causing the speedo to drop out every now and then and the car thinks its in neutral so gives reduced power. Sometimes it doesnt do it all day, other times it'll do it for 20 mins. But i have the part.
Rear brakes need new handbrake cables, only a tenner each from Eurocarparts. This is on my list of things to do in the next couple of weeks.
The ABS is playing up so ive unplugged it for now. I think this is to do with the handbrake cables sticking on a little bit.
Bodywork isnt perfect, but scrubs up nicely.
Ive had to roll and flare the arches a bit on the rear, and it scrubs a bit with extra weight in the car.
Central locking but the remote needs reprogramming with PP2000 (When i got the car i was told it was just a flat battery in the remote, so I'm not giving the same false info)
Car is located in Flitwick MK45
It will be a shame to see it go, Its the newest car ive ever owned, But i need to have another retro on the drive.
