My mate, Hein, and me have planned on making a nice roadtrip for a while, this year we finally did it.
Made a route through Scotland with RRG as the ending point of our roadtrip (well, ofcourse the trip ended at his house, but you'll get the idea)
So 2 weeks before RRG we left the Netherlands in this:
I won't bore you with all the pics we've made, but we had a great time, drinking whiskies and beers and camping at fantastic places!
After a small incident, involving a bus hitting the car in the rear, and a little holdup we arrived at hairnet towers on thursday before the gathering, upon where he immediatly began cleaning the car:
Did the last 100mile on the friday, nice and relaxed. Even arriving in daylight, thats a first for us!
Campsite was filling up nicely!
Dynamo cried enough, but a bit of cleaning and wiggling with wires got it back working again.
2strokes don't like to idle for a long time, the smoke screen it makes afterwards is quite impressive. Apparantly the car did it again on sunday in the queue to get in, sorry for all the people stuck behind it

This car keeps getting better and better:
I see the updates on most cars on the forums regularly, but it's soo nice to finally see them irl again!
This car made me want an XJS again, just as i thought i was over it...
After a night camping in Folkestone, the car made it back to the ferry terminal in Dover and then back home again.
We travelled over 3000km/1900miles in it. Only a few minor problems with it (plugs fouling once, due to a bit too much oil mixed in the petrol for safety we think, dynamo packing up and the rear brakes getting stuck after an emergency brake stop in Belgium) the car behaved perfectly, doing well on the hills, good on fuel and good in general comfort.
I lvoed the trip, we drank a lot of beer, whisky, tasted a lot of them, visited great places and ended up on a high at RRG.
So thanks to all involved in RRG'15 and i'm looking forward to 2016 allready!
