Those driving in pics really capture what made my friends and me absolutely crazy last year. It's one thing seeing immaculate show cars standing still but a continuous flow of cool modified rides of such diversity and taste was quite a sight to behold, especially when you aren't used to seeing non-stock cars! Beautiful pictures, too. Thanks for sharing, those like me who have to live the event vicariously in the weeks afterwards need that

Wow that flickr set is so immense it deserves a bump so more people can enjoy it. You must have photographed every car at the show! It certainly makes up for the general lack of show pictures from this year. You even papped me on the way in... Cheers, Steve

I've just realised the yellow mk2 is a B reg so very early and has been 90 specced which is a shame. It was like that when I bought it. However, it's a proper race shell, seam welded through out. It also has a 16v turbo now, so even less period...

I've got an 85 mk2 CL which has coilovers and gti spec subframe, brakes, fuel tank etc and an ABF engine so combine the early povo spec look and the poo brown interior and it is a real sleeper, even has rust and dents... although they aren't a good thing lol Do you have a thread? I want to know more about this 16v turbo

Yes, there is one here: www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?104946It's been going since 2006, and is 37 pages long, so you may need a coffee or two!
