2000 Mercedes E240 V6 Estate - Very Rare 6 Speed Manual

Green-Black Metallic with Full Black Piped Leather

Located in Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12

Mechanically Perfect - Bodywork has the usual W210 rust issues (but has been touched up and prevented from rusting further)

I have owned this for the past couple of months.  It's in daily use and has served its purpose very well.  I have used it to commute to work, help a friend move house and clear out my parent's shed, all of which it has done with ease.  I am getting a much newer E280 CDI to replace it later this week, hence why a few of my cars are up for sale. 

These W210 estates are huge, and by far the biggest in their class.  The carrying load is amazing and there isn't much that won't fit in them!

2398cc / V6 / 6 Speed Manual / 170 BHP / 135+ MPH / Rear Wheel Drive

The engine is mechanically spot on - always starts first turn of the key with no hesitation.  Idles in the correct manner.  Temperature sits at half way all day long.  Uses no excess oil or coolant.  No fluid leaks.  The car does not miss a beat.  Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to fill it up and drive across Europe - it's that reliable. 

Being the rare 6 speed manual, it's quite a revelation to drive.  I've had several W210s in my time, but this is my first manual.  It actually really suits the car, and makes it fun to drive, even with it being so large.  It sits on the motorway at 70mph, returning over 30mpg whilst fully laden.  Very smooth ride.

New Falken Rear Tyres / New Front Wiper Blade.

Everything works as it should.  Apart from a bulb that is out, there are no other warning lights on the dashboard.

Bodywork has suffered from the usual W210 rust bite: front wings, rear wheel arches, number plate surround and a few other parts of the body have corrosion.  However, these have been treated and prevented from rusting further - not the best job, but looks better than brown rust spots and holes that most of these have!  Driver's door wing mirror has been clipped, and the mirror glass is held on with gaffer tape (needs new clips for glass).  Front number plate is held on with ties (will need screwing on, but has been fine and is secure).

Overall, a solid and reliable car that serves it purpose very well.

Comes with: 1 Key / Remote Key Fob, Mercedes Wallet, Service Booklet with 9 Service Stamps (last one from 2013), E Class User Manuals, V5 Logbook.

Well, it's a V6 but it's still a cracking car for the money. Never understand why people pay over the odds for the high mileage estates, these are excellent on fuel if you use the cruise control.
I used to diss W210s until I got one, it's like having a very useful van AND a limousine at the same time.

Thanks mate.  Admittedly, they are not the prettiest of Mercedes, but they are smooth cars with a nice interior and excellent value for money.

Mine (E320 auto) is 2100 kg braked, 750kg unbraked and 84kg max nose weight.
This will be a bit less, 100kg or so, because it's a manual (less weight) and it might not have a trans cooler.

Not having a tow bar already fitted makes this a great candidate for towing, it won't already be shagged from hauling horses or whatever.

Yes, should be fine towing, especially with the 6 speed manual, which will no doubt improve the economy a little.
