Up for sale is my VW Bora 2.8 V6 4Motion Highline. Finished in metallic Silver (LA7W) fully colour code from factory. Previous owner was mature and owned the car for over 10 years, its been well looked after and this can be seen from the history. Majority of people don't even know what a Bora is nevermind that they did a 4 wheel drive version!
130k Miles with MOT until April next year. No advisories.
Serviced 3months ago, including sparks, oil and filters. Good history file comes with the car, which has also had a new clutch and slave cylinder, as well as power steering rack in the last few years.
Ive recently had new front wheel bearings put on as well as front ARB bushes.
Good strong engine, 204bhp as standard, no hesitation or problems when driving. No lights on the dash, 4motion system and 6 speed gearbox fully working.
Bodywork is in ok condition, few marks here and there, slight ding to passenger side wing and some crazing to paint on the drivers rear wing around the fuel flap, luckily being silver this isnt too noticeable. Highline model so you also get sport all red rear lights and twin exit exhaust. Front light lenses are a bit cloudy but I'm including new lenses to be fitted. Also including a colour coded rear lip spoiler, again just needs fitting. Standard V6 16inch alloys with good tyres. Alloys have some corrosion but still perfectly useable as is.
Interior is black sports cloth recaro style seats. All in very good codnitino with no rips or wear visable. Good black carpets, centre arm rest. Wooden dash trim, and sport black leather 3 spoke wheel. All electric windows, auto dim rear view mirror. 2 keys, all electrics are working. Auto climate control comes on but it needs a regas. 4motion gear knob veneer has cracked off but still useable and I have another knob to swap bits from. Bora illuminated air vents and uprated dash clocks fitted from factory. Front fogs as well. Front v6 badge was missing so I've replaced that, plus I have a replacement for the rear as well which has faded.
These are surprisingly quick yet comfortable cars, I have found many people caught out by it, very understated performance. These actually make better track car than the golf equivalent due to more weight over the back end. Fly by wire throttles give for a very revvy engine, and these are chain driven so no cambelt worries.
Only thing I would say needs doing is a power steering fluid change as its a bit whiney and the fluid looks dirty, still works fine though.
I'm open to sensible offers and/or p/x's swaps against it for audis or anything else really. Camper vans, a mercedes vito van, octavia vrs's estates etc, just try me. Love audi 80's and 90's as well. I bought this for the winter months and then got offered an immaculate tt by a good friend for not very much so bought that.
Rare car these days to get your hands on. I'm based in Bishops Stortford and the car is currently at my in laws (bigger drive) which is in a little village called Wicken Bonhunt about 15 mins from Saffron Walden and 5 mins from the M11. Essex CB11. Happy to do a deal on it with something else, and can deliver at cost.

I do actually have a set of RS6 17inch replica 5x100 alloys I was going to fit as well which can go with the car at my asking price, will do the car for £100 less without them or I will sell separate for £200 to someone on here if they are interested, decent tread budget tryes with no kerbing, paint isn't perfect as some is flaking on the inside of the spokes but they look very clean otherwise.
