1998 Citroen Saxo VTS for sale. I only bought the car just over a week ago for a weekend toy but just after I bought it another car I've always wanted came up for sale so I've had that instead.
It's a 98 S plate Mk1. Even though it only seams 5mins ago that these were flooding McDonald's car parks nationwide the mk1's are actually getting quite rare now. It needs a little TLC but it's deffinatly worth saving. It's standard apart from having an inductuon kit fitted and hasn't been "Chavved" up like most saxo's were. Deffinate future investment, just look how much Ax GT's are fetching now.
It's silver with MOT until March 2016, 150k miles but do no let that put you off, it honestly drives like its done half that. Previous owner had it for six years and ran his own garage so anything that needed doing was done. I drive the car nearly 50miles home with no issues.
Mechanically the car is very good, still pulls well in all gears, none of the common gearbox whines these saxo's usually suffer from, brakes and clutch are good, no knocking from the rear axle, can't remember what advisories were on the mot but it wasn't much.
Bodywork is tidy but needs a few bits. There's a light pressure sent in the passenger door but I think would easily push out from the inside as it's not creased, there's a dent on the front corner of the bonnet, a crack in the front grill and a small crack on the front bumper corner. All sounds bad but not to noticeable. Main points are the boot floor and front inner wings are solid (common rust points on these)
Inside is clean and tidy, no wear on the seats and everything is standard. All the electrics work but the sunroof drains need cleaning out as it leaks in heavy downpours when the channels fill up. The car doesn't smell damp inside though so can't have been leaking long.
Will get pics in daylight tommorow. Still waiting for V5 back due to only buying it last week but I do have new keeper slip and full receipt will be given. I have nothing to hide. V5 should be back before sale but all depends when the previous owner sent it off.
