Was £1250, now only £850, really need the space!
Here is my lazy copy and paste text from my previous Ebay ad
Where to start with the spec?
This car is the 4.0 litre V8, far superior than the 3.2, you've got 284 bhp to play with, should you so wish.
It is the long wheel base version, masses of room in the back, even has electric control of the passenger seat, from the back!
It is the Sovereign model, so it is packed with toys,
electric seats, including headrests, with 3 memory seatings,
electric mirrors & steering wheel rake,
climate control, ice cold,
radio cassette with cd multi changer in the boot,
steering wheel controls for stereo and cruise control,
auto dim rear view mirror,
automatic function for lights
remote central locking for doors, boot and take me home lights
full leather interior in great condition, usual wear to the drivers seat, but no damage
alloy wheels with good tyres all round
there is more gadgets but I think I am going to run out of space!
Everything works, no warning lights, nothing to fix
The bodywork is very presentable for a 17 year old car, looks great in the dark metallic blue, the off side front wing had a hole in it where it meets the mudflap, I have had the rust cut out and the wing properly repaired and painted.
The car has only covered 7000 miles in the last 5 years and flew through it's last MOT in October with just one small advisory that the front brake pads are getting low.
It has a good deal of service history and had an oil and filter change earlier this year.
As with any old car there are going to be defects, so what's wrong with it?
The bodywork is very nice, compared to some of the others I looked at, it's great, but there is a small scab about the size of a 50p, on the off side c pillar, I can only think that it has started from a stone hitting it at some point, it's not terrible and easily fixed.
The head lining is drooping, as they all do, there is a re-manufactured part available to replace the entire piece for £185.00.
On start up one of the tappets is noisy, a quick blip on the accelerator and it's sorted, have been told by my local Jag specialist that an engine flush and oil change should cure this.
In summary this is a low mileage LWB 4.0 XJ8 in great condition, with good service history, a long MOT, no corrosion and very little wrong with it for very little money.
