1971 Austin 1300 MKII - Brake Parts - Supplier advice

Good afternoon one and all. I've owned my Austin 1300 for over 4years now and of late the brakes have been getting tired. So, Saturday afternoon with the aid of a mechanic friend we stripped the old boy down and inspected what could be the cause. Lots of tired bits, so now I need the following:

- Front brake discs (pair)
- Front brake pads (set)
- Rear brake drums (pair)
- Rear brake shoes (set)
- Rear brake cylinders (pair)
- Split pins for rear brakes (pair)
- Rear brake adjusters (pair)

A local factors can get me some bits, EBC do others at vast prices, but no ones does it all and I have some gaps in sourcing. So does anyone have any recommendations? or a list of part numbers I can give to the "maybe" gang.

I don't know where in the country you are but have a look at Moss. They might not stock 1300 bits but the guys in the Bradford branch have tons of knowledge and can usually suggest the same part from a different model!

Somewhere that specialises in BMC parts might be a good place to start. Eg Earlparts.

Moss were helpful,but had squat.

Earl part the same. Thus far, I've got:

- cylinders
- fluid
- discs

And shoes on way.

I have had good service from them in the past, they are sometimes a bit pricey though.

No, never heard of them. Thanks for the tip.

EBC could do pads, but I'd have to sell the wife/dog to fund them. £75 from memory.

Thanks for the advice. Got some NOS shoes for a bargain £2.70.

Now just the correct pads to source, and drums. Payday accounted for.
