I've written this advert three times now, and my laptops closed the browser each time.
I'm selling my partners run around as I can't stomach the 250 miles a week at 29 mpg anymore. We've had it 6 months and its been a lovely little auto mobile.
I'll be honest, I'm not a scrote unloading some automotive poop, it'll be warts and all.
Good.. ;
99 323i 2.5 steptronic (works spot on, manual option too)
grey leather (non sport)
climate control
fern green metallic
four good michelins
MOT May 2016
89,000 miles
new battery and full oil and filter service in my ownership, PO had some suspension work done (wish bones)
Bad.. ;
Odd scuff and ding, it wears the odd battle scar but scrubs up quite well.
has the common worn lower universal joint on the steering rack. the sly dog I bought it from didnt mention this, but to be honest it isn't noticeable 95% of the time. It essentially wears causing a low speed steering wobble over harsh bumps. It's a £70 part and a fiddly hours work to change, I've never bothered. It isn't an MOT issue and doesn't cause any bother passed a small vibration over humps and bumps. (happy to show you this, both the part and the symptoms) it was on the list, but its non urgency status made it kind of stay.
Err, that's it really. Not much more to say. it's been an effortless cruiser and has served us on a few trips and holidays and I wouldn't hesitate to drive up and down the country in it. Engines perky, auto box is smooth as silk. It doesn't crash bang or knock. There's a lot of crappy E46's out there, and I know it's not the most desirable transmission/engine/spec but it's been a trooper. I've fixed one small vacuum leak and I've done the very common E46 rear lamp earth fixes. Aside from that it's just been faultless. It's earnt it's spot and I will miss it but I'm throwing ~£240 a month away on fuel and it's just no longer viable.
I'm after £850, which is a believe is fair, and thats currently less than it stands me, But I want to be realistic. I will entertain a swap for a small petrol or a diesel of some variety, it has to be modern-ish (96+) as otherwise the OH won't particularly be interested (oh how shes missing out) Ill get some better pictures this weekend, I'm in WF13, close to Leeds/Wakefield/Hudds.
